WHO WE ARE
Yale Sight Savers undergraduate chapter is a service-oriented organization at Yale that provides free glaucoma and eye-acuity screenings for financially disadvantaged New Haven residents. Every semester, we have screenings that brings together Yale undergraduates, med students, and ophthalmology residents to help detect eye problems in patients. Our organization focuses on serving the low-income New Haven residents, providing hands-on clinical experience to undergraduates, and conducting Yale Human Subjects Committee (HSC) approved academic research to investigate effective strategies for reducing glaucoma-related vision loss.
